Ben Galvin is a leadership development expert and a member of the faculty at Cal Poly's Orfalea College of Business. He resides in San Luis Obispo on California's Central Coast with his wife and three children. He has spent over 20 years researching and sharing the science of how people lead and thrive. An award-winning researcher and author, Ben’s work has been published in the leading management journals, focusing on topics such as leader identity, leadership emergence, humility, inclusive leadership, and the nuances of the motivation to lead.

  Ben developed Leadership as Craft through the Six Principles Framework to help share some of the key things he has learned in an accessible way for practitioners—combining his professional expertise in organizational leadership science with a lifelong study of the world's greatest thinkers and leaders. His work helps leaders achieve ongoing improvement and well-being in their daily lives and effectiveness as formal and informal leaders.
